Group Fitness
Members of a full service health club have many reasons for their interest in this type of facility. Some are drawn to the physical fitness or weight-loss advantages. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives.
Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being, Shula's Athletic Club offers a number of programs that will fit your developmental needs and your busy schedule as well. All group exercise classes are 50 minutes in length unless otherwise advertised. Any class with less than 10 participants over a 2-month period will be reviewed for cancellation. Pump & Define
Shape and define your muscles using barbells, dumbbells and gliders, helps reduce body fat and builds strong bones.
Spinning
Whether you are just getting started or have an established training program, we can help you achieve your fitness or racing goals with our spinning program. Spinning is an aerobic exercise that is performed to music on specially designed stationary bikes. This concept was created by a world-class bicyclist named Jonny G as a method of training for races. Spinning is also an excellent calorie burner, using about 600 calories in an hour.
Good Morning Spin: Feel good Music and a ride that will wake you up and get you going for the rest of the day!
Extreme Friday Spin: Go all out and train hard before the weekend. A complete and intense workout that involves weight and spin combined.
Interval Spin: Train Hard! Intervals for endurance, power and speed that include climbs and sprints.
SpinCycle BootCamp: This non-stop interval class mixes cycling with strength training, core and agility work.
Spinergy: Picture it! Outdoor cycling incorporated with the mind set of an indoor ride. A fun filled, high energy class!
Spin & Sculpt
This class combines the benefits of an aerobic as well as resistance training program through alternating periods of spinning and weight lifting. Challenge your body as you gain muscular strength and endurance.
Yoga Classes
Yoga provides many physical and mental benefits, including improved physical fitness, mental clarity, stress control and general well being. Yoga also increases strength by toning the muscles. Each class is designed to build the student’s strength and flexibility and inspire peace and tranquility. Yoga class is a place and time to concentrate on yourself, to workout, relax, breathe, and feel all sensations in your body and let go of tension. We offer many different forms including Energy, Raja Hatha, Prana, Iyengar, and Vinyasa.
Yogalates
This combination yoga/pilates class takes the flexibility and meditative elements of yoga and fuses it with the muscle strengthening and toning of pilates. Yogalates is great for developing overall fitness and a sense of inner calm.
Pilates
This class offers you a body balancing system that strengthens, lengthens, realigns and defines your body. Pilates is an exercise-based system that aims to develop the body's "centre" in order to create a stable core for all types of movement. Eventually the body will move with maximum efficiency and minimum effort. Postural changes as well as increased flexibility are only a few of the benefits Pilates provides.
Power Pilates Flow
Focus on traditional pilates and yoga concepts and alignment techniques while adding functionalstrength and flexibility through a blend of exercises designed to add power and stamina.

Pilates Sculpt
Enhanced classic mat pilates through the use of balls, bands and weights to further challenge your core.
*Fit-Dance
Professional dancers with a Latin flare and funky energetic style teach our Dembo Dance Class. Dancing can burn as many calories as walking, swimming or riding a bicycle. It also provides cardiovascular conditioning, which can lead to a slower heart rate, lower blood pressure and an improved cholesterol profile. And dancing contains a social component that solitary fitness endeavors don't! Whether you have two left feet or just want to learn a few steps, we have a class for you. $6 per class. Power Plate, Vibration Training Classes

Light N' Lively
Enjoy a heart-healthy, moderately intense aerobic workout. Basic steps and rhythmic movements for the upper and lower body are designed to give you a safe and fun workout.
Silver Simply Circuit
A high energy low impact workout that alternates resistance training with cardiovascular exercises using various equipment throughout the workout. No seated exercise.
Silver Sneakers I
Get a great workout of this unique program designed to encourage Medicare-eligible members to increase their physical activity. It incorporates fun, social programming with an exercise program that enhances independent living skills. The target market for this program is primarily age 60 and older with activity levels ranging from active to semi-sedentary. Ninety percent of this class is seated.
Silver Sneakers II
This is an advanced class for Medicare-eligible members to continue increases in physical activity. It incorporates great music, motivating instructors, and an exercise program designed to enhance your life. Ninety percent of this class is standing.
Silver Spin
Earn your training wheels with this highly motivating and energetic ride geared torward the beginner.
STEP & Abs
Not your typical step class. a variety of step combination's, endurance moves and abdominal exercises to finish it off.
Intervelocity
This high intensity, low impact workout alternates cardiovascular exercise with resistance training using equipment during timed intervals. Be prepared to sweat! No seated exercise.
Killer Core (30 Minutes)
30 minutes of intense abdominal and core work. a non-stop, high intensity workout to get rid of that mid-section and love-handles.
Gliding
join the new fitness craze... Gliding Discs. Class provides a full body toning and sculpting workout with smooth gliding movements.
20/20/20
A TOTAL body workout...combining 20 minutes cardio, 20 minutes sculpting and 20 minutes core exercises.
AthleKinetix
A non-stop, intense workout that utilizes various pieces of equipment to maximize results. Train like an Athlete!
Master STEP
Challenging STEP choreography that will build on layers of moves, including pivot turns , mambos, around the world and more.
