THRIVE Member Spotlight | Natalie Costero

For this month’s member spotlight, we have Natalie Costero, a high school graduate, who has been able to put her health first amid the craziness of her senior year of high school.

We asked Natalie a few questions about her experience with Thrive and here is what we got:

When did you start training with Thrive?

I started training last summer, around June. I have to admit that I was pretty hesitant and nervous, but it was the best decision I ever made for myself.

What is the most important thing you have learned with the program?

The most important thing I have learned is body control. I have learned to do a lot of different movements and exercises that have made me more agile and have helped in controlling my body. And that to me is more important than being able to lift the heaviest weights.

What is your favorite exercise?

My favorite exercise that I have learned with Thrive is the deadlift. This exercise helps me feel the most controlled and explosive with my hip which correlates to my sport.

What have you been able to achieve with Thrive?

Well I have definitely improved my explosiveness and power. The deadlifts, the many drills we do on the machines, and the sleds have made me stronger. I am so proud of that because when I look back to where I was when I first started, I realize that I have come a very long way.

We are so proud to have members like this with us here at Shula’s. Natalie always checks in at the front desk with a smile and seems eager to get going. Even her trainer, Edgar says, “She’s a very fast learner and super athletic. I think she can excel at any sport. I love working with her because she is always in a good mood and has a positive mentality.”
