What’s the secret to being successful in everything you do?

Honestly, it’s really no secret!

It all starts with how healthy we are.


Life gets stressful sometimes, between work, the kids doctors’ appointments, and school activities, we tend to neglect taking care of ourselves. But maintaining our health should come first, before the errands, daily to-dos, and long work hours, because when we aren’t healthy, we can’t be successful.

Food, sleep, and exercise are the key elements which keep us healthy, happy, and successful.

We’ve all heard the saying, “you are what you eat” and it’s quite true! Everything we consume affects our productivity levels, for better or for worse. To reap the benefits of alertness, clear thinking, less stress, better mood, lack of fatigue, and improved memory, replace those convenient junk food meals with things like fish, walnuts, blueberries, and tea. Start by training the body to follow a certain eating schedule. A little meal prepping can go a long way.

Lack of sleep can cause an increase of stress levels, high blood pressure, and lower brain functionality. Who wants that?! And just with food, our body’s need a regular sleep schedule. Sticking to a nightly routine and allowing ourselves to relax before jumping into bed are extremely important. Try reading, meditating, or taking a warm bath before bed to help get into a relaxed state.

Our mental, physical, and emotional health all benefit from daily exercise. It is one of the best outlets for relieving stress and depression. Think of exercising as a must-do, like taking a shower or brushing your teeth. Take a stab at a 30-minute morning routine or push yourself with an hour fitness class. It doesn’t matter how your heart gets racing, just get up and do it.
