Jorge was born and raised right here in Miami. He is of Colombian and Spanish descent and is proud of his heritage. Jorge has been involved in numerous sports his entire life, with a particular interest for tennis. He played tennis at Christopher Columbus High School and was ranked the #1 male tennis player during his years there. Jorge recently graduated from FIU with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and is excited to apply his studies to his coaching portfolio. His capability to be patient, optimistic and enthusiastic with youth tennis players only enhances his coaching abilities. No matter the challenge, he always finds a way to turn his students’ weaknesses into strengths. Jorge has proven to be a valuable member of the tennis staff here at Shula’s and will play a key role in the growth of the program.
